D'Angelo's "Wonderful Space"

Posted May 11, 2007 -- Singer D'Angelo relayed a message to his fans via his good friend, Erykah Badu. He let everyone know he's "in a wonderful space." In a thread posted on Okayplayer's message board, Badu updated fans on what the crooner has been up to recently.

"He sounds so light and clear," Badu writes. "He told me wonderful stories full of revelation. He took breaths in between as if to say, 'I'm alive.'" She goes on, "He says we can start sending good energy that way. He feels it."

Badu also went on to explain how frustrated D'Angelo is about "Really Love," a single that was recently leaked to the internet. "'Really Love' is NOT a single, ain't finished either. Artists hate when unfinished work gets leaked; non-musicians can't interpet it that well," Badu says.

D'Angelo has been plagued with several difficulties in recent years. After releasing his critically acclaimed album, Voodoo, in 2000, he virtually disappeared. He didn't resuface until January 2005, when he was arrested and charged with DUI, marijuana possession and possession of a controlled substance. Then in Sept. 2005, he was critically injured in a car crash in Virginia. In 2006, he entered a rehabilitation facility in Antigua. He is reportedly in the studio working on a new album.

James River (Virginia) - Wikipedia

The Native Americans called the James River the Powhatan River. The English colonists named it "James" after King James I of England, as they also constructed their first permanent English settlement in the Americas in 1607 at Jamestown, along the banks of the James River.
